Purpose and lawful basis of data collection

We ask for your contact details to be able to contact you in future about research opportunities related to eTIPS. This would only be done with your consent, i.e., you can choose whether to provide these details. You have the right to subsequently withdraw this consent.

What data do we collect and how?

If you consent to allow us to contact you in future, we will store your name and email contact details as well as the information you enter on the form regarding your status as a parent or healthcare professional and any details you enter about the infant’s age, gestational age, and side of brain affected.

Who are the recipients of the personal data?

The data will be used by the eTIPS research team to contact you with your consent. The only other recipients would be external auditors or inspectors, or relevant regulatory authorities, or organisations we are legally obliged to share personal information with. We will not share your data with third parties unless in the event of an emergency or legal requirement. It will not be used for marketing purposes.

What types of cookies does the website use?

There are a number of different types of cookies (for further information, visit allaboutcookies.org) however, our website uses cookies only to tailor the content you access to your previously selected preferences e.g. acceptance of disclaimer.

How will we use your data?

To contact you to ask you if you are interested in taking part in related research studies, including evaluation of the eTIPS website.

How do we store your data? – We store the data in a secure server located in the UK and managed by Microsoft Azure. Access to the server is strictly controlled within Newcastle University RSE Team. Our production environment access is SSH key-based and controlled by being restricted to only authorised IP addresses.

The data will be stored in line with Newcastle Information Security and Data Protection Policies for 10 years and then deleted.

What are your data protection rights? You can:

· access and obtain a copy of your data on request;

· require us to change incorrect or incomplete data;

· require us to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing;

· require us to restrict processing of your data, under certain conditions.

· object to the processing of your data, under certain conditions.
